After Death, I Became a Superhuman

The celestial instrument came to a halt.

After the cataclysmic tremors that felt like the end of the world, the spaceship passed through one present world after another, through countless temporal rifts, before crashing down somewhere.

"We've stopped."

The captain of the shield team climbed up from the control panel, his expression somewhat odd.

"The celestial instrument has fallen. But how is that possible? No present world can withstand the existence of the celestial instrument. Its mere appearance could cause an entire present world to collapse."

"Because this is 'Ashfall,' we've arrived at our destination." The superbrain spoke calmly, "This place is different from the ordinary present worlds. According to the records of the celestial instrument, this was once the hub created by the Creators."

"So, the Abyssal Death Emperor is just outside or something?"

"No."

Jiang Bei had already taken the lead to the exit. With a wave of his hand, a door materialized out of thin air.

"Don't worry, there are no enemies outside, only—"

A desolate wasteland.

To any creature within the abyssal system, this place was akin to the edge of the world. Barren beyond belief, empty, like a wasteland abandoned by nature. The desolate ground was devoid of grass or any sign of life, and the intense, discomforting light made the space feel empty and eerie.

Jiang Bei could see strange particles swirling in the air, like white worms entangled in the sky. They were spread throughout the space, endlessly expanding, and with their movement, the entire space seemed to expand as well, like an endless contagion in the boundless void.
