Chapter 1854: One Year

Chapter 1854: One Year
The man fell silent when he was done speaking, he knew all he could now was wait and hope Grey agrees to his request. He did not forget to offer the most valuable item in his Tribe which was a powerful weapon created by their ancestors.

Grey stared at the man, thinking about it, even if this man did not ask him, he would have still snuck to the Tribe to collect the core. In fact, he had taken two cores from Tribes like these.

After some silence, he asked, “Where is your Tribe located?”

There was a possibility that he had already removed the core, so if he had, then he did not have to bother with this man again. Losing this man in this City proved difficult, of course, if he wanted to use his speed, then the chances of this man catching up was nonexistent. But since he was still in the City and did not want to draw any attention, he needed to be very cautious.

Hearing Grey’s question, a lot of elation appeared on the man’s face as he quickly explained the direction to his Tribe. Listening to the man’s description, Grey scanned his memories of the two Tribes he removed cores from and immediately realized he had not been to this Tribe yet, and from the man’s direction, it will take about a month for them to get to his Tribe from this City.

‘I should be able to take it in time.’

The position of the Tribe made it the second to last red dot according to Grey’s current path, so accepting this will not in any way change his plans. The only thing holding him back right now is the possibility that this man is working for the Twilight Faction. If the Twilight Faction were to decide to plan an ambush instead of just two Peak Sovereigns attacking, then he would be in trouble if he allowed this man to lead him to his Tribe, if the man was working for the Twilight Faction, that is.

“There’s a Town three hours southeast from here, if you are really interested in leading me to your Tribe, come find me at the gates at sunset tomorrow.” Grey spoke after some thoughts. This was a Town he passed on his way here; he even stayed there for a day due to Void’s obsession with the food there. To be honest, he also enjoyed the food. These past few months, he had barely had any time to eat good food, much less cook. So when the great scent blew into their nose while they were passing by, they could not help but make a stop.

The man nodded, not hiding his elation, “Then I will prepare my things and head there immediately. See you at sunset tomorrow.”

Grey nodded and watched the man’s back view leave the alley and disappear into the crowd. He did not expect to see someone like this, but he was a bit curious about the man. The fact that he could sense the threads and even trace it to the Affinity Stones showed that he was not an ordinary person.

Void appeared on Grey’s shoulder, “We don’t necessarily have to travel with him, so why did you agree to it?”

“I’m curious about the treasure left behind by their ancestors. Also, that guy himself is quite interesting.” Grey shrugged as he lazily explained. Yes, he did not need to travel with the man back to the Tribe since he was going there anyway, nor did he need their reward given how he rarely uses even the elemental weapons he had with him. Other than the defensive one which is always on him, he barely uses the swords and other weapons he has with him.

“I can sense that if he was not in this world, he could be a top expert from how strong his Spiritual Sense is.” Void said. He also found this man strange, but that was it.

The duo stopped their conversation and Grey continued strolling in the City. Only after he could sense the auras of the two Peak Sovereigns back in the Manor did he stop his stroll and leave the City.

About an hour later.

Grey got to the Town he told the man about. Compared to himself, it would take the man and most people below the Ninth stage of the Sovereign Plane at least three hours or so if they wanted to get to the Town from the City.

After getting to the Town, Grey went straight to the place he ate the food. Without delay, he ordered food for himself and Void before the duo dug in. The Bunny Leader is currently not with them. A month or so after separating from the Dragons, the Bunny Leader left to continue its usual hunt for more Bunnies for his army. Grey naturally had no objections to this and allowed him to leave, while he focused on acquiring more cores with Void.

According to the time, he has spent almost a year in this place and he should be leaving in about a month and half or so. The Bunny Leader should return in about a month or so, and since Void had a way of contacting it even if they were very far away, he did not have to worry about getting to it when it was time.

Time flew by and it was sunset the next day.

Standing by the side of the Town’s gate was the man Grey had an appointment with. He had been waiting here for almost an hour. Due to fear of missing this opportunity, he came here two hours earlier than the supposed time, patiently waiting by the side. He stood under the tree by the Town’s gate as he watched people enter and exit the Town. Just when he was starting to feel a little agitated, he noticed Grey’s figure walking in his direction from inside the City. Heaving a sigh of relief, he walked forward, meeting Grey as he just walked past the Town’s gate.
