Abyss 2
He walked towards the sink and grab the small soap, made of some leaves he improvised, to wash his hands. He look at the broken mirror in front of him and noticed his face lacks of any emotion. He smile, then stopped and knitted his eyebrows, then smile again. While doing so, he forgot that the look in his calm eyes, which shouldn't belong to a child at his age, stays the same even when showing different possible reaction and emotions in his face. "Haa" he slowly exhaled as he finish cleaning his hand. He looks at his reflection again in the mirror before walking towards the door. He did not notice a dead rat next to his cabinet, nor did he smell anything at all. It might not have been dead long ago, considering its condition.
He slowly close the creaking door and walk towards the house of uncle Tom as his smile slowly came back to his face. He can already hear the festive sounds in his neighborhood and the shouting of a kid and laughters of some adults. It must be Ryll and her father with some of his friends. When he's in the front of their door, much better condition than one he has at his place, he slowly knocks and said "Uncle Tom? This is Scott." Not much longer, the door opened by a middle aged man that looks around early 30s. He has a dark hair just like the little girl, with some striking grey hair when looked closely. He has a measly beard and a wide big smile on his face. He's not that tall but has a mascular body because they usually go for hunting at the mountain outside the village.
"Come in, come in, child! How many time do I need to tell you not to knock anymore when coming here?" Uncle Tom said loudly, followed by his friendly but annoying loud laugh. He place his rough hand on Scott's shoulder and dragged the helpless child inside before closing the door behind. "Try this meat, child! We need to nourish your body to bulk like this!" He said while holding a chunk of boar meat, laughing and posing his biceps. "that's too much for a child like me, uncle." Scott said while shaking his head but still accepted it with the plate he take from the table. The night was full of joyous laughter. Ryll even cried because Ken, the son of uncle Joe which also around his age, took her bear toy just to annoy the her. But when the kid saw Scott looking straight to him, he gritted his teeth and return the bear toy to Ryll. The adult saw this but said nothing and did not dwell to much with it.
Days passed by and it's been 3 weeks since that event. Scott goen on in his life as usual. He help some uncles and aunties in their chores and was somehow provided with leftover meat and foods from them. The children still play together but was somehow hesitatant to play with Scott since there's always something happening when he's with them. The adults in the village knows this wierd behavior of Scott but they consider it as being playful and maybe they just don't want the kid to be left behind by his playmate if reprimanded because of his behavior. Suddenly, while Scott going back home from the hill he usually go, a strange anomaly occurred. The wind, oposite to its usual flow, turned more violent. He held to the tree near him to not br carried away and he look towards the village below. It howled like a banshee that tears through the village and reaps apart some homes, he saw it tossed people around like ragdolls. It wasn't the usual WindVillage wind. This was something else entirely. Something…otherworldly.
The air grew heavy, thick with an unseen energy. The ground suddenly trembled. Then a deep, guttural roar echoed from the sky, shaking Scott to his core. Fear, a sensation he rarely experienced, gripped him. But it wasn't just fear. There was something else, a strange thrill, a sense of anticipation. This was the chaos he craved, the unpredictable variable that shattered his carefully constructed world. 'Am I gonna die?' this is what's going on in his mind as he watch the sky turn darker with the wind gush fiercer. A swirling vortex of darkness opened above the village, a gaping maw in the sky that seemed to swallow the light. It pulsed with an unnatural energy, a malevolent heartbeat that resonated deep within Scott's soul. He felt a pull, an irresistible force dragging him towards it. He knew, instinctively, that this was no ordinary storm. This was something far more sinister, something that connected to other worlds, to places beyond human comprehension. Unknown to anybody in the village, this was the Abyss. A realm of death and oblivion, a place whispered about in hushed tones by the elders. A place that connected the five continents to something far greater, far more terrifying. A chaotic sharp sound of the deep howl like an excited entity as once again, it introduces itself to the world.
At the inhabitant place in the western part of Wrum Continent, down the rocky mountain was a cave that lacks of any light. Suddenly the rocks rumbled and two chilling eyes opened as it look far ahead, to the direction of Wind Village. "Wha—" its word was suddenly cut off and a strange glint flashed in his eyes. In the deep woods of Alfyrathum continent, an ancient palace stands tall with a magical environment like that of a fairytale. On the throne seated a King cloth with a luxurious silvery robe, knitting his brows with his ceremonial sword in his hand. The ministers kneeling below was trembling as they feel the hatred flowing from the King above. They know how much their King hate the familiar energy they are feeling towards the north, where the mysterious event was occurring. Different scenes happened in the five continents, even in the Fauntirania and Scalchyban. All the known and hidden experts look at the direction of the Wind Village as chilling stillness and silence occurred in different places. What could this possibly mean? Is this the end of the peaceful age and a beginning of the forgotten chaotic times? Only time will tell.
P.S. I will post 2 chapters a week for now.
What do you think?
