A Sweet Encounter

First Appearance ch 1

Afternoon time.

Beep! The radio crackled to life.

"Wolf to Sky, I repeat, Wolf to Sky. Captain, I've located their position, and I'm sending you the coordinates now."

"Good job, Wolf. I’ve received it," came the steady, serious reply. The voice belonged to the captain, a woman whose face remained concealed, but her striking greyish-blue eyes betrayed the gravity of the situation.

"But Captain..." Wolf's voice hesitated, breaking the tense silence. "The location they’re headed to... It’s suspicious. They’re heading towards Appleton Highway, the section still under construction."

"Hmm…" The captain’s voice was calm, measured. "Connect me to Agnes, wolf. This is Sky, I need you to update the plan. We won’t let any of them escape this time. I want all of them captured. Agnes, I need you and Lucifer to block the temporary exit on the highway. I’ll meet them head-on."

"Agnes to Sky, I’ve received your orders, Captain," came the soft, feminine voice through the comms.

"Sky to Wolf, once I’m on the ground in the criminal activity zone, I want you to send two police vehicles for backup. Things might escalate quickly. Stay vigilant, they could be armed. You’re authorized to engage, but make sure we leave a few alive for interrogation."

A deep, resonant male voice responded, "Understood, Captain. We’ll keep that in mind."

"Once this is over, we should all grab a drink," Wolf's voice crackled, tinged with excitement. "It’s been forever since we last partied."

Lucifer’s dry tone interrupted, "We partied last month, Wolf. It's only been two weeks."

"But that was last month," Wolf protested. "This is a new month, which means it’s time to party again!"

"You’re always thinking about partying," Agnes teased, her voice dripping with mockery. The banter was familiar, but Sky wasn’t in the mood for distractions.

"Focus, people," she snapped. "Wolf, I’m closing in. Send Team 1 now and keep Team 2 on standby. Agnes, how long until you reach the exit?"

"We’ll be there in two minutes," Agnes replied.

"Good. Be ready. I’m almost in the zone."

........

On the highway

Two white cars flanked a sleek, silver Maybach, blocking its path. Six men in total stood around the luxury car—three wielding knives, the others brandishing heavy steel pipes. They wasted no time. The men smashed the car windows, forcing the driver to step out.

The man emerged from the car with a calm demeanor, his smirk unwavering. His black eyes, fierce but bored, scanned the surroundings. "Oh, I’m terrified. Who will come to my rescue now?" His sarcastic tone contradicted the coolness in his expression, but he continued speaking aloud, though more to himself than anyone else. "I thought this time it’d be different, but it’s the same tired strategy again. And honestly, you lot don’t even look like proper goons. Is that thick gold chain really necessary? It’s blinding me."

A burly man standing at the group's center grinned menacingly, his scar stretching from his right eyebrow to his lip. His shifty eyes gleamed with malice as he spoke, brandishing a knife. "Don’t act clever, kid. If you cooperate and sign these documents, we’ll end this painlessly. But if you make a move, well… I can’t promise what’ll happen next."

The man in the Maybach glanced at him mockingly. "Then what are you waiting for?" he sneered.

The burly man, now clearly frustrated, gritted his teeth. He gestured for his two underlings with the steel pipes to step forward, their intent to intimidate clear as they closed in, ready to show their strength.
