A random pokemon journey

Once I was back in camp I got started with these tickets by tearing the item ticket in half and summoning that familiar wheel as I prayed to RNGESUS. It spun for a moment before stopping and revealing my prize, a sea incense. Useful for meditation but not really an amazing pull to be honest. Next up was the two skill tickets which once again turned into smoke that then solidified into the roulette wheel for skills before the wheel started to spin. It spun for a minute before a panel started to glow upon finishing before it started to spin again.-

When it finally stopped I learned what the two skills I got where and sighed as I more or less had both already to a degree, Pokemon breeding and Writing. Pokemon breeding was a sort of over arching skill that covered the various aspects of pokemon care for prime breeding conditions. This included , environmental matching, food, grooming, compatibility and egg care. Thanks to all my experience and research I more or less already had a firm handle on this skill so it came as no surprise that after I got the skull splitting headache from the knowledge download the skill sat at adept right from the get go.-

For writing there was even less change as I already had the skill and had be practicing it so my journeyman level with the skill simply rose to adept with the inclusion of this new stack of the skill. 'Less than perfect but not terrible.' I thought as I moved on to the two normal ability tickets. These were the real prize as each new ability was an extra card up my sleeve along with an improvement of my aura and possibly divinity as well.-

I tossed a quick prayer to RNGESUS before I tore the two tickets and watched them burst into dazzling rainbow smoke before solidifying into a rainbow colored roulette wheel. Soon the wheel stopped and the panel was highlighted before it began to spin again and then stop again and I got to know what I earned, Shadow warp and Super hearing. My ears started to bleed and my divinity shone brightly as the two brand new abilities were integrated into my body. It was a minor amount of suffering but once it was over I was left VERY uncomfortable as I was bombarded by noise from every direction.-

As expected Super hearing caused me to pick up on any sound carried even faintly on the air within a large range around me. Whether it was the cries of pokemon or animals in the forest or the wind moving through and around the trees I heard it all and it was deafening at first. It was simply to much stimulus that I wasn't used to yet and so I was forced to sit still waiting for my mind to finish adapting.-

Shadow warp was a pure energy based ability and one I was actually quite familiar with as it was regularly used by ghost type pokemon and occasionally dark type pokemon. That's right that ability to travel through one shadow to another that those pokemon used is the ability I got. It was an extremely insidious power as it also meant that I was now MUCH more dangerous for one simple reason, shadows were fucking everywhere. With this ability I could pop up out of nearly anywhere there was a shadow and attack. Much like with the way ghost type pokemon use it however the best use of this ability is concealment.-

I could sink into the shadow of an important person or even a criminal and unless their senses were really sharp or they had an ability to sense living things I would be entirely undetectable. I could also use this to bypass security in a lot of places by "hitching a ride" off the shadow of someone who was actually supposed to be there. Still the biggest benefit I found was that the abilities integration with my body caused my divinity to grow and at least double in size. That wasn't a massive jump since it was a mere spark at the moment but growth was growth.-

I wasn't all that surprised that the growth was only this as it was both much harder to grow a divinity than aura and the ability itself wasn't all that energy intensive. In a manner of speaking I only needed enough energy to sink into the shadows and jump between them and that was it. It was a matter of many small uses of energy rather than a continuous drain. This also explained why Ghosts were able to do it so effortlessly, it cost them next to nothing.-

Once my body finished taking in these two abilities I finally moved on to the guaranteed ability ticket. I tore it and when the roulette formed I chose my desired ability without hesitation. Immediately the roulette turned to smoke and poured into my body and I screamed as the changes began to take hold. My divinity grew at an alarming rate until that spark became a gem the size of an orange dyed in a glowing rainbow hue. At the same time my body changed in a metaphysical manner as times absolute hold on it shifted to a looser state.-

To the surprise of literally no one Greater time dilation was not a base ability and was one or two steps below legit time control. It was also a massively costly ability to use so naturally my energy source which was my divinity grew to accommodate this need. I might have been mistaken but I could have sworn that once the ability was fully integrated into me I felt an intense gaze land on me for a few moments before vanishing. I was pretty sure it was Dialga who had been alerted by something touching his domain but it could have also been Giratina or even Arceus.-

Whatever the case I had to admit the ability was trippy as hell. Like I could slow down or speed up the flow of time in a small area that was no bigger than twelve squared feet across and no farther away than ten feet. The increase and decrease in speed of flow in this area also had limits that made sense. I could speed up time by only a hundred times and only slow it down by the same amount. While not enough to age someone to death in moments or keep them young for a ridiculously long time it was good enough for my purposes.
