While this caught me off guard I almost immediately knew what was happening and patted Hades to calm it down. The last thing I needed was it trying the square up against three godly legendries who may or may not be still recovering from their Cyrus induced injuries. Obviously this was Uxie, Azelf and Mesprit paying me a visit which meant first impressions mattered. I didn't even bother trying to shield my thoughts with my aura as I doubted it would even work. Soon the three points of light expanded and with a soft "pop" three beings appeared in the lights places.-
All three of the creatures appeared almost like infants with short legs and arms and heads much larger than their bodies but that was where the similarities ended. All three of them had blue skin and two long tails with a sort of maple leaf looking bit at the ends of them floating behind their bodies. Their heads were also absolutely inhuman with large eyes and no noses as well as their unique extra flesh/bone shapes. The one on the left almost appeared to be wearing a yellow turban the one in the middle a blue pointed hat and the one on the right like it had four long pink cucumbers growing out of it's head, Uxie, Azelf and Mesprit respectively.-
"Shouldn't you all be recovering?" I asked calmly as I looked them over. 'So it is true then, you do possess the mark of the corrupted pillar.' A female voice spoke into my head. "When I acquired the blessing Giratina had not yet fallen. There was some time travel involved though so I doubt that helps at all." I said with shrug. 'It does not. The state of the pillar when you obtained it's blessing makes no difference as the problems your existence brings remain.'-
'So long as you bear that blessing the pillar has a direct way to influence the world without breaking the terms of it's banishment.' A male voice said this time. "And yet you are not here to kill me." I said calmly. This took all three of the legendries back as they all collectively reacted to my words in a surprised manner. 'Why do you think so?' a different male voice asked as Azelf leaned forward slightly. "Curiosity and hope, you all are curious why my patron hasn't run rampant through me yet and you have hope that it's actions upon the peak of Mt. Coronet mean it's sanity is recovering. Or am I wrong?" I asked with a smirk.-
Mesprit seemed to laugh at that merrily as it floated around the room. 'This little mortals got us all figured out.~' it said with an amused tone. 'There's no point in denying it, yes you are correct. You wouldn't be aware but we siblings were created by the creator upon the pillars fall to corruption to serve as a test and failsafe should the remaining pillars cause problems as they are want to do without a balancing force.'-
'We periodically check on the corrupted pillar to ensure it's banishment is still necessary but now we are unsure why the pillar has shown such a drastic improvement to the point of even stepping forward to restore the balance after that human attempted to upset it. We are hoping that by communicating with you we may discover the source of this anomaly.' Uxie said seriously as it stared at me searchingly. "That is admittedly my fault to a large degree. It is also quite the tale so you may want to get comfortable." I said honestly.-
'We assumed as much. You were the only factor that could have brought about any change in the pillars state though, and please don't take this the wrong way, you are an almost insignificant existence.' Mesprit said and I didn't know whether to be amused or insulted. "You probably thought the same of Cyrus and yet he got this close to ending the world. Still to start out with I suppose I should begin with my journey to Orre, the region Giratina ruled before it's corruption." I said starting my tale as the three legendries listened carefully.-
I spoke of my arrival in Orre and my research of that places history to try and find out why it was as it was. I talked about how I discovered the strange geography left over from the battle between Giratina and the other two lords. I talked about my trip to Rota and that whole time. I then talked about going into the Celebi forest and getting sent all those years into the past. The three lake guardians listened intently at this point as this was a time before they were born and thus not something they had knowledge of.-
I talked about how it was almost a paradise under Giratina's rule and how the lord of the distortion world had a vastly different appearance to now at that time. The three looked most uncomfortable when I talked about how I tried to help Giratina fight off it's corruption only to get blessed and told to go away since there was no stopping it. I spoke of watching the region get destroyed and returning to the present time. I then talked about Cypher and all that they were doing as well as my discovery of the full story behind Giratina's corruption as well as the birth of the infernal pokemon.-
Finally I spoke of the Griseous orb that contained the original pure uncorrupted divinity of Giratina. I said how i was pulled into the distortion world and gave the orb to it's rightful owner before returning to the real world as well as fast forwarding to the events of Mt. Coronet and the distortion realm. "And that is more or less the whole story that you weren't aware of until now." I said finishing my story. 'A sad tale, not to be corrupted by it's own will but out of love and consequence. Yet there is hope!'-
'You said the pillar spoke to you. For all the many years we have watched it not once has it ever appeared more than a beast acting upon it's baser instincts. Yet it spoke and even rewarded you for your role in everything that happened!' Azelf said excitedly. 'Indeed this is joyous news but until it becomes clear whether this recovery was temporary or not we will not free the pillar. You however mortal are at the very least no longer an insignificant thing but the only link to the real world the pillar has and thus important. We shall ensure all of our kin know of it.' Uxie said.
What do you think?
