Chapter 1350 1350: What's With The Second Wall?
Archer turned his attention back to the two women with a charming smile while speaking. ''I'll build some defenses on the outside and along the wall. That should make attacks near impossible;e as long as the soldiers keep watch.''
''Thank you, love,'' Maeve replied with a relieved expression. ''Ashoka will be heading out in the next few days but we were wondering if Talila would be able to help us as jungles are her thing.''
''I'll send her a message, I suggest you ask Hemera as well,'' he replied. ''She's been studying Placidia for years now, there's a section in the library dedicated to this place.''
When the women heard this they agreed with happy nods as he sent the two messages and got their replies in the form of portals opening and the two elves stepped out with excited expressions.
''I'm glad to get off that damn island again,'' Hemera said while stretching.
Talila shook her head before answering. ''Aunty. It's not like you can't go to the Domain or Avidia now that we've taken the land.''
Archer's surprise flashed across his face, drawing soft giggles from the two newcomers. The sun elf, with a bright grin, slipped her arm around Talila's shoulder. ''This is my niece, remember? I asked her to call me Aunty, and she's finally come around to it,'' she explained.
The silver-haired woman rolled her eyes before muttering. ''Only because you kept bugging me along with Hecate. Both of you harassed me over.''
Hemera feigned an offended look, then pulled Talila into a hug. The younger woman's grimace only made Archer chuckle. Shaking his head, he spoke up, ''Would you two mind helping Maeve and Ashoka? They need to look into those monsters lurking around.''
When the two heard this their eyes sparkled before the sun elf answered with a nod. ''Yes. There are millions of creatures and other nightmarish things that lurk in the jungles but it's a lost land full of treasures and valuable resources for the empire.''
The three other women shivered at her words causing Archer to speak up with an amused smile. ''You all can return to the Domain if anything goes wrong and don't risk yourself, this place isn't important for now.''
Following that, the five of them started chatting as Hemera offered them some sun elf tea which everyone accepted. While everyone was chatting, he looked out the window at the green sea stretching as far as the eyes could see.
Archer stood up and approached only to admire the sight as the jungle closed in on the fortress walls. When spotting this, he teleported there before digging a deep ditch on three sides thanks to the sea guarding the fourth.
He made sure to bridge the gap with a wooden drawbridge, the surrounding soldiers were shocked by the sudden appearance of all the new defense but this wasn't the end as he continued creating stuff to slow down any monster waves.
'With the amount of monsters on Placidia, this is needed,' he mused.
Earth spikes lined the base of the wall, but then Archer's mind sparked with a new idea. He conjured another stone fortification on the far side of the moat, connecting the two with sturdy wooden walkways that spanned the divide.
As he worked on the fortifications, the four women approached the wall, their eyes widening in shock at the new additions. Archer landed beside them, exhaling a sigh of relief as his gaze settled on Maeve.
''That should slow down any attacks,'' he explained with a smile. ''Get the soldiers to burn the walkways and raise the drawbridge. That will allow you to get the upper hand on anything that tries to get in.''
The orange-haired warrior looked over the edge and was shocked at the deep trench that was covered in darkness. He joined her with a chuckle. ''If any enemies fall into that thing they'll die in no time. Just bomb the thin mud wall that's keeping the seawater back.''
''Amazing,'' Ashoka added with Hemera and Talila agreeing.
Hemera commented with glowing yellow eyes. ''One way in and it can be destroyed, that's interesting,'' she muttered.
She looked at Archer and asked. ''What's with the second wall? Isn't it a bit too much?''
''No, there are all kinds of monsters and humanoids lurking in the jungles,'' he replied while staring at the green hell. ''The wall will allow the soldiers to pull back to this one as the enemies take it.''
Hemera nodded before writing something down after pulling out a notepad which amused him. Following that, the four women returned to their quarters after he said his goodbyes and teleported to Emberport.
Archer reappeared on the temporary palace's roof that overlooked the port city that was being rebuilt from the ground up. On one side were dozens of apartments stretching high above the landscape.
He made sure they couldn't be affected by the weather, monsters, or attacks by covering them in shields Dellah created and the same ones that protect the Draconian ships which fascinated him.
'That dwarf is something else,' he mused. 'Luckily I made her mine.'
Archer watched the legionnaires and Drakeguard hard at work laying new roads after ripping up the older ones. This sudden flurry of work confused the fire elves who watched from their houses.
With a wave, He shaped a chair using Mana Manipulation and settled into it, gazing out at Emberport under the afternoon sun. While relaxing, he made both himself and the chair invisible before gliding silently through the city.
'Looks like most of the streets have been replaced but the apartments will take some time to finish,' he mused while hovering above the buildings.
Following that, Archer continued exploring the city and admired the soldier's hard work as it spread out even further than the original. Once he checked out, he returned to the Domain as the sun started to set.
He appeared in the living room where Ella, Halime, Nala and Llyniel were chatting as Nefertiti and Hemera were reading. This caught his attention prompting him to ask the sun elf. ''What are you doing here Hem? Weren't you on Placidia?''
She looked up with a smile before answering. ''I was but needed to read, there's so many monsters that it's hard to keep track of.''
''Oh alright,'' he replied while making some tea. ''I hope you find some good ones I can add you to my army. Especially ones like the Nightmare Ants.''
Hemera got excited just as Nefertiti added with a shiver. ''Well if it's them you want, go to the northwest coast of Placidia. It's full of creepy creatures and colonies of walking death.''
Archer got excited when hearing this and questioned the pink-haired beauty. ''How do you know this Nefi? I didn't know you studied monsters.''
The succubus looked up from her book with a love-filled smile as she explained. ''When I realized you've been collecting all kinds of beasts I did my research on Placidia and found a few you'd love.''
After that, he greeted each of them with a kiss and a warm embrace before settling down with Nefertiti and Hemera. The two began regaling him with tales of the diverse monsters they'd encountered, their stories captivating him endlessly.
The two young women loved spending time with him like this. Archer would just listen as they explained every creature they came across. Hours passed as the others got tired and went to bed.
They each planted a kiss on him before heading toward their rooms. Hemera let out a wide yawn, stretching slightly. ''I'll head back there in the morning, handsome,'' she said. ''Talila seems to adore that place.''
Archer grinned at her words, then with a flicker of thought, teleported the three of them to his room. The sudden shift drew giggles from the pair, who exchanged knowing glances about what was to come.
Without warning, he jumped on the two and started ravaging both young women who moaned and groaned in response. They enjoyed every second of it and encouraged him to go even rougher with them.
By the time the three settled down, Hemera was fast asleep, a satisfied smile gracing her lovely face. Nefertiti, meanwhile, curled up against his side, her soft, adorable snores filling the air as he attempted to steal some rest for himself.
Soon enough, he felt tired and drifted off to sleep as the two women kept him warm through the cold night. The next morning, he woke up and felt someone looking at him prompting him to turn his head.
Archer spotted the gorgeous sun elf staring at him with a love-filled smile as she whispered. ''Good morning handsome. Sleep well?''
''Yes it was a comfortable rest,'' he answered before kissing the brown-skinned beauty.
Hemera quickly reciprocated while cupping his cheek and a few seconds later, they broke apart as a flock of monsters flew above the treehouse.
