Volume 15 Chapter 9: Keith Vs Tharaziel
The next morning, Keith woke up and stretched his arms. He glanced down to see Eri sleeping soundly, holding onto Fira and the other furballs.
Thank goodness. Keith sighed in relief as he watched her sleep so serenely.
Last night, the fox girl twisted and turned in the bed. She was definitely not used to the new environment. He had to hug the child and read her bedtime stories to soothe her anxiousness.
Stuffed animals and also a small night light were brought out to help make her comfortable.
“Thank you so much, Aria.” Keith requested Aria to make the room slightly colder. Eri preferred a slightly cooler climate as she slept. It was the same at home; he had to open the window for a nice breeze.
Heading out into the open, Keith started to move around. While he was doing this, he noticed Tharaziel doing the same thing. “Morning.”
“...” Tharaziel gave him a dirty look before returning to his workout. There were knights to assist. Keith scratched his head as he picked a spot slightly farther than them. He was stretching back and forth as he prepared himself.
Alright, let’s start with my magic. Keith slowly increased his water magic, creating a water bubble in front of him. The number of bubbles slowly increased. There were more than 10 floating around him.
Let's move them. The water bubbles slowly rotated in front of him. He even caused them to fuse together into a giant one.
Slowly, the water narrowed as it wrapped around him. Each time he changed the shape of the water, Keith had a calm expression. Good. He was excited about his abilities. Each day, he had been making progress on his water abilities. On the first day, he could only make one giant water bubble.
“Is that the only thing you can do?” Tharaziel’s eyes narrowed as he stared at him. He finally couldn't take it.
“Mmhmm.” Keith nodded. This was him being able to control his water even better than before. But that only caused the demon prince to have a mocking gaze.
“Then how could you be first? There’s no way you can beat my sister with shoddy abilities like this.” That type of control was child play! He had seen his sister swirl fire around like it was nothing!
“Eh?” Keith blinked.
“I challenge you to a fight.”
“...” Keith blinked. But in a few minutes, Keith and Tharaziel were standing on the side of one another. The man was looking to fight with him, while Keith just had a blank look as he stared. There were some knights who watched from the sidelines.
“Begin!” The battle between the two started. Tharaziel was the first person to make the move as he used his fire magic. He was firing it off against Keith. But the man responded with a giant water shield. Keith continued to create water shields in front of him to block against the fireballs.
Woah, his fire magic is powerful. The amount of fire he generated was enormous. Moreover, the firepower was intense. He’s definitely as talented as Scarlet. But he lacks firepower.
“Are you only going to block?!” Taraziel’s eyes narrowed as he continued to block using a water shield. It was getting on his nerves.
“...” Definitely weaker than his sister. That was something that Keith knew.
“You lose.” Keith was calm and composed as he decided, but that was when Taraziel got up, “I don’t believe it!”
“Huh?”
“Face me again!”
“Eh?”
“This time, hand-to-hand combat!”
“...You sure?” Keith blinked as he stared at him for a brief moment. Tharaziel raised his fist, “I’m not going to be defeated by the likes of you!”
“...Okay then.” Keith raised his fist, and Tharaziel dashed at him, but the next moment, only black was here.
Tharaziel was woken up as he slowly looked around the training ground, “Where am I? Did I win?” The knights around didn’t even dare look at him. Eh? What’s with their look? He understood what type of look that was. The look of disappointment and disbelief.
“You lost.” A cold voice had cut in. That was when he turned around to see Scarlet. That woman was not smiling at all. She was giving him a devilish look as if she was going to rip him to shreds! That alone was enough to cause sweat to pour out from his hair.
What do you think?
