Volume 15 Chapter 1: Aftermath

"..." Gabriel and the others sat in the living room. However, there was an offness. Diana and the other dorm mothers watched from the door. Eri tilted her head as she rode Saphir. Everyone did the same action: staring at the ceiling. Moreover, the expression on their faces was indescribable.

And how could they?

Carolyn asked, “So, who did you guys face off against?” It was clear to her that they all faced off against one of the instructors.

"Instructor Tennol for me." Melor sunk into the sofa. Recalling the fight was a nightmare.

“Me too.” Herrick couldn’t help but snort at the dwarf, “How could you not put a dent into her?!” Herrick couldn’t believe it.

The demon instructor faced off against Melor before he faced off against him. Yet, there was not a wound on her! He should at least put a wound on her so he could exploit it!

Melor frowned, “I did something. How did you not win against her?!”

Herrick fought against her last; she should have been tired from fighting against him. Melor swung his hammer down on the instructor multiple times. She blocked every blow. However, she definitely felt something as she got indented into the ground.

The two slowly fought against one another.

Faelyn was silent. Usually, she would say something to break it up, but she was in no condition to. Bandages wrapped around her arms and shoulder. After fighting against the instructor, someone brought her to the nurse's office. She sprawled next to Alfia.

“Enough.” Alfia sighed as she held her head, clearly feeling a headache. It was such a shameful defeat as well. She had fought against an instructor and got beat.

She shared a glance with the demon princess, who could only sigh. It was the same situation with her; the two didn't just lose with just anything; they lost using everything they were confident in. It was one of the worst feelings.

“I had to face instructor Clara,” Carolyn muttered. She and the hamster teacher fought against one another, and that lady blew her up. Her magic didn't do anything to the hamster's wood magic. As her starlight struck the wood, there was only a scratch. That was the last thing she witnessed before being constricted by vines.

"...That teacher was cute and deadly." Everyone knew about the adorable hamster. However, Carolyn never thought she would have such a vicious move.

“What about Keith?” Despite the things that had happened, Keith was the only one who wasn’t sitting with him. He was swinging his halberd outside.

“...” Keith was focused as he continued to swing and swing. He lost; there was nothing to argue about. The most powerful magic he had in his arsenal, and it didn't put a dent in Aidiun. There was no choice but to accept the outcome. That was exactly why he was outside swinging. He remembered Aidiun's words. There was no way he could sit still.

“Papa!” Eri then waddled over to him. Keith smiled as he patted her on the head and raised her up, “What’s the matter?”

“Hungry.” The little one glanced at her stomach.

“Of course!” Keith chuckled as he carried her and headed to the kitchen to make her a snack. While Keith cooked, Aidiun conversed with the others. Cadmus scoffed, “Did you have to do something like that, you elf.”

“Of course.” Aidiun calmly stated, “Unlike the others, Keith needed something like this.” The others were cocky. They needed to be taken down a couple of notches. Keith was in a similar situation. However, unlike the others, who had a big head from beating everyone, Keith was way too calm and composed. That was why he needed a more impactful defeat.

“Plus, he’ll stay at the academy.”

“...” Cadmus raised his hand, “I knew you were good for something!”

“...” Did you have to say it like that? But that was when Sohma added, “Also, he’s not going to be here.”

“What?

“Did you forget the students are going to be leaving afterward?” Once the finals were over, they were going to be heading back home. Unlike the break before, this was going to be a two-month break that would last quite some time.

“...” Cadmus and the others had nothing to be said about this. The dragon was slowly going to explode from anger!
