A God Killed Me By Accident, But I Reincarnated As The 4th Son Of The Marquis

Volume 13 Chapter 48: Family

Volume 13 Chapter 48: Family

The following day, Keith headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. While he did so, Diana assisted him, “Did Eri have any trouble sleeping yesterday, Keith?”

“Nope. She was sleeping soundly.” Once he was finished reading the story, she was knocked out with the fluffballs and Fira.

Diana sighed in relief, “That’s great. I was concerned that the child would have difficulty adjusting to us all.” That was something she could tell while showering her. She was incredibly cautious against all of them. Even as she tried to wash her hair, she would jolt back. That was how she dashed out of the bathroom.

Keith nodded, “It’ll be fine. She’ll need some time to get used to everyone.” That was something he knew all too well.

What kind of life was the child living before all of this? That was something that confused and befuddled all of them. But while they were lost in thought,

“Oh, did you wake up? What’s the matter?” Eri stood by the door. Instead of responding to his question, the child ran up and hugged his legs.

“There, there.” As he slowly patted her head, Eri became more comfortable, and her hands loosened. Picking her up from the ground, that was when Keith suggested, “Do you have a favorite animal you want?” It was time to make some pancakes.

“…Aria.” Keith nodded as he quickly made the small pancake of the owl. It came out nicely as he added some fruits as eyes.

Eri blinked, "Aria?" The owl floated down on the counter, and the fox girl couldn't help but look at her and then back to the pancake-shaped owl. The man chuckled as he turned to Diana, "Let's finish them up quickly." Can't have the girl starving because of his slow speed.

"Understood." The great spirit rolled up her sleeves and got to work.

As they had breakfast, “I’m going to be going out with Eri to get some things.” There were many items she’d need if she lived here.

"I'm going to the dungeon! And these guys are coming with!" Herrick didn't hesitate to hug them. Gabriel sighed, "I'll go watch over them."

"..."

Krystal nodded, “I'll go with you.”

“Thank you.” Keith nodded, and once they had finished their breakfast, it was time to head off. Keith carried Eri in his hand as they headed to the city again.

"Po!" Lei was glancing around as he was held in Eri's hand. Keith chuckled, "Shh, you got to be more quiet." He learned something; it was only a day, but Eri and Lei seemed the closest.

Krystal asked, “Where do you want to go first?”

“We need to get her some new clothes.” Leon and Laura’s clothes were not going to help out. The two headed into the store, ”Hello! What can I do for you?”

“I wish to buy some clothes for her.” Keith pointed at the little child. The clerk nodded, “Understood. I will first need to measure.”

The clerk was going to do so, but that was when Eri latched onto him tighter.

Keith stroked her head, “It’s only measurements.” He gently placed her down for the clerk to do so. Her hand continued to latch with his as she was measured. This was enough; after the measurement, the clerk brought over a bunch of different clothes for her to try.

“Go try them on with Krystal.” Eri frowned, but Keith rubbed her head, “You don’t need to worry about anything. Krystal will help you.” Eri stared at Krystal before she took her hand, and they entered the changing room.

Keith was standing outside with Lei in his hand, but it was only a second before Eri came out in the adorable dress, “You look so adorable.” Keith grinned as he patted her head.

Eri’s ears wiggled back and forth, clearly happy with the compliment. That was when she started to try other clothes on. The clerk couldn’t help but compliment, “Sir, your daughter and wife are so adorable and cute.”

“Ah..” Keith scratched his head while Eri tilted her head. Krystal’s cheeks flushed as she stared at them. He quickly paid for the clothes as they headed out.

Eri latched onto his neck, and Keith chuckled. “It seems we really do look like a couple.” It was a typical misconception if you thought about it.

"Dad?" Eri tilted her head as she stared at Keith. But he quickly shook his head, "I'm not your dad."

"?"

"I don't think you understand it." A sigh came from his mouth as he patted her head.

Krystal coughed, “It’ll be fine.” While Keith walked with them, “Do you have anything you want, Eri?” Now that he had bought the things she needed, he wanted to ask the girl if she wanted anything.

Grrrrrrr.

Keith looked at her stomach, and a small chuckle came out, “Let’s go to the bakery and get some food before we go out and get some things.”

The three entered the bakery, where they were getting the same stares from them. But Keith didn’t mind as he picked out a pudding and other things. That was when the three sat on the bench and started to eat. It was a peaceful and joyous day.

As she ate, “Ahh.” Eri then pointed a spoon at Krystal’s mouth. Initially surprised, the lady took a bite, “Delicious.” Eri nodded as she continued to eat. Her motion intrigued him. Was that saying she trusted Krystal? Sharing a glance with the lady, it seemed she had also thought so.

Finishing their food, it was time for them to head out again. But that was when he noticed how she eyed something in a store. “Do you want that?” It was a stuffed animal.

“…”

Eri didn’t say anything, but Keith walked in and immediately bought it for her, “Here, there’s no need to be shy.” A chuckle came out of his mouth as they slowly returned home.

“…” What’s the matter with you all? The way everyone was eyeing all of them was quite something. Gabriel was the first to jeer, “Aren’t you guys acting like a family?”

“Family?” Keith tilted his head as he rolled his eyes at him. That was when he started to cook dinner for them.
