A Crazy Love Proposal

Chapter 26 - 26 20 Wanwan

Chapter 26: Chapter 20 Wanwan Chapter 26: Chapter 20 Wanwan Her chest was suddenly pressed without warning by someone; no one had ever dared to do such a thing before. Wen Yangzhi stared at her with drooping eyelids, his gaze cold enough to chill the bone.

But she was oblivious to the hint, her hand not moving away, and it even looked like she intended to keep pressing.

Wen Yangzhi finally spoke, his face expressionless, “Eighty.”

She was confused for a moment, “What eighty?”

“Bench press.” He did not want to say another word.

She finally understood and exclaimed with admiration in her eyes, “Brother is more impressive than I thought; no wonder Brother could carry me into the Jing Building.”

Still failing to read the room, her hand remained on his chest.

Wen Yangzhi reached out, grabbed her hand, and moved it away from his body:

“How long do you intend to bring up something from six years ago?”

Her focus was solely on him, and she deliberately pretended to be rueful to provoke him:

“Now that you’re working, do you no longer have time to exercise? You seem to not be in as good shape. Brother, can you still carry me?”

She leaned her head towards him.

He was completely indifferent, his voice not loud but very oppressive:

“Yun Yuwan, don’t use those tricks on me.”

The vehicle was moving along the avenue when suddenly, on the left, a daredevil on a motorcycle swerved into the road, nearly colliding with them. The driver abruptly braked and turned the steering wheel.

Yun Yuwan, who was already barely sitting in her seat while touching Wen Yangzhi’s chest, was now thrown by inertia into his arms, accidentally kissing his lower lip.

The soft touch was momentarily mesmerizing.

She then realized she was kissing Wen Yangzhi.

Wen Yangzhi leaned his neck back slightly, warning her:

“Get up.”

Instead, she moved closer, murmuring unclearly as their lips touched, “Brother, your lips are so soft.”

Soft, slightly cool, the pale pink was very sexy, inviting another kiss.

This was their first kiss together.

As she spoke, the tip of her tongue gently touched his lower lip.

Kissing him felt so good; people said Brother’s lips were tougher than life, but it turns out Brother’s lips weren’t tough at all.

She showed no intention of moving away, even seeming to want another kiss, leaning into his embrace and lightly sucking on his thin lips, hinting at more to come.

Wen Yangzhi tightly pursed his lips, his scalp tightening,

If he didn’t keep his mouth tightly shut, it felt like she would slip her tongue inside as well.

As he tried to move away, Yun Yuwan offered her lips to him again.

In that instant, Wen Yangzhi had only one thought.

Catching that corrupt bank manager earlier wasn’t urgent.

He should arrest Yun Yuwan and have her convicted.

The driver spoke, “I’m sorry, Director Wen; a car suddenly came out of nowhere.”

Wen Yangzhi’s mouth was blocked, unable to respond.

He finally grabbed her shoulders, pulled her off of him, and threw her back to her seat.

Yun Yuwan, still relishing the moment, touched her lips and looked at him with misty eyes, her innocent appearance revealing a look of indulgence, which was particularly alluring.

Because everything she did was subconscious, with no pretense.

Coveting pleasure was an animal instinct.

The driver, having received no response, was unsurprised; Director Wen rarely communicated with them and didn’t interact much.

Wen Yangzhi’s gaze coldly shifted away from her.

The external lights repeatedly moved across his sharply defined face, making Brother’s expression seem even colder, but his scowling face appeared even handsomer.

She fiddled with the leather seat, moving closer to him, “Brother, what you told them is different.”

Wen Yangzhi closed his eyes briefly, and after a long while, he finally spoke, “What did I supposedly say?”

Brother was indeed stubborn and wanted to know.

She moved closer to him, able to smell his cool, woody fragrance — not entirely like conventional cologne, but it carried the scent of Wen Yangzhi, aromatic and warmly dry yet robust:

“They said that Wen Yangzhi is soft everywhere except for his lips, which are hard.”

Wen Yangzhi did not respond.

After a while, as the lights shifted, he finally spoke softly, “If only one part of my body is hard, it wouldn’t be my mouth.”

Yun Yuwan didn’t react at first, but once she did, she suddenly realized what he was referring to.

She looked at Wen Yangzhi in disbelief, feeling her ears involuntarily start to burn.

So, he could say such things.

Was he intentionally teasing her?

Her head bowed, her heart fluttered as she murmured, “Oh…”

The car suddenly stopped, and when she looked outside, she realized they had reached Wen Garden.

The low-profile black Maybach proceeded toward the villa.

As the car stopped, Wen Yangzhi said indifferently, “Get out.”

She didn’t leave the car, “Brother, aren’t you coming back?”

He was impatient, merely asking her, “Are you getting out or not?”

She hummed, “I want you to take me back.”

Wen Yangzhi suddenly took out his phone and dialed a number; Uncle Deng’s respectful voice came through, “Young Master Wen.”

He said mercilessly, “Come downstairs, take Yuwan up.”

The other end quickly agreed.

She immediately resisted, “Brother, I don’t want that, I want you to take me up.”

He parted his lips, and a detached word spilled from his thin lips, “Be good.”

He didn’t even look at her, his gesture was nothing more than a dismissive pacification toward a naive child from a superior standpoint.

But hearing that word “be good,” Yun Yuwan almost fell out of her seat, her limbs going weak at the sound; she unconsciously gulped and grabbed his arm:

“Brother, can you call me Wanwan?”

He coldly answered, “Get out of the car.”

She persisted, making a pitiable face as she gently shook his arm, “Call me Wanwan and I’ll get out.”

The car door was half-open, and she, in her thin dress, felt the cold night wind chafe against her body, making her unconsciously contract her slender shoulders and arch her pale, slender neck.

Yet she still looked at him with those pitiful eyes, as if he had abandoned her. All she cared about was his attitude towards her, oblivious to her shoulders turning slightly red from the cold.

Staring at her, he eventually spoke, “Wanwan.”

A deep and experienced voice sounded, one that almost melted her ears.

And just as Uncle Deng approached the car, he heard that exceptionally low “Wanwan.”

Before this, Uncle Deng had never heard Wen Yangzhi call her that.

He always called her Yuwan.

With a desire-filled and emotional “Wanwan,” it was more effective than any action that clarified their relationship.

Because this was initiated by Young Master Wen.

And not one-sided.

Yun Yuwan leaned close to his ear, her mood so elated she felt like blowing pink bubbles, softly saying, “Brother, I hope you have a good night’s sleep.”

He didn’t move, but she, filled with joy, gathered her dress and got out of the car.

Shortly after, the driver closed the door, and he ordered indifferently, “Head to Lujiazui.”

But midway, the driver troubledly spoke, “Director Wen, there’s a traffic jam ahead, seems like there’s been a series of accidents, it might take a while.”

After a long moment, Wen Yangzhi slightly lifted his eyelids, “Turn around, back to the old house.”

It was eleven o’clock by the time they returned to the old house. He went upstairs and saw a book resting on the railing.

It was left open, clearly abandoned mid-read by someone.

Such impatience, most likely it was Yun Yuwan.

The print on the page caught his eye.

“Verbally, the term ‘narcissism’ merely serves as routine criticism, indicating excessive self-consciousness—self-worship, egocentrism, selfishness, or grandiosity…

But is that all there is to narcissism? Vanity? Seeking attention? In psychological circles, its definition is not even clear. Narcissism may refer to an unpleasant yet common personality trait, or to a dangerous, rare psychological disorder.

Narcissists hide normal emotions like fear, sadness, loneliness, or shame because they worry they will be ostracized because of them. The more they worry, the more they believe in their uniqueness, in order to protect themselves.”

He casually closed it, his expression cold.

The title “Unrestrained Self-Esteem” caught his eye, but it did not concern him.

He wasn’t interested in anything about Yun Yuwan.
