The Protagonist System

341 Coming Together Part One

My plans kind of stalled as I spent the next week working on the updated golf course. Putting it back to normal would have been easy enough, except Duff Killigan was not a normal golfer. His aggressive playstyle was what earned him a ban on every other golf course in the world, including mini-golf, and he started his villainous rampage to take revenge on them for it. He loved golf that much.

So, I made him an appropriate course to reflect his personality and added obstacles he would need to overcome to sink his golf ball into the cup under the flagpole for the 36 hole golf course. Collapsible walls, quicksand traps, alligators that love eating golf balls in all the water hazards, lava pits, and anything else I could think of to make it harder to get the ball into the cup.

I was inspired by mini-golf and took it to an extreme, which ended up with a course that only someone that was insane would ever attempt past the first 'easy' hole that was practically a straight shot and only had one water trap and one sand trap. Yes, it was cover for the rest of them, because it was the only hole seen from the clubhouse.

I made the clubhouse into something close to a mansion, with a small staff and everything. They were low ring agents of Global Justice, of course. The extra duty and pay made them happy, because it was an easy job compared to their usual tasks. It let them rotate out of active service on a regular basis and gave them better breaks, too.

We also had to start at school again with only a couple days off for the emergency move. Thankfully, Dr. Betty Director gave us notes for the school and she managed to get a hold of my parents. They had bought a home in Portugal and their personal things were shipped to them there.

When the Possible family and Tara found that out on the trip back to Middleton, they had really sad faces. Before anyone could ask me when I was moving as well, I told them flat out that my parents didn't have a room set aside for me and they didn't ask me to go with them.

Apparently, compromising their house and endangering them was enough for them to forget about me completely, not that they remembered me much before that anyway. It was just the latest excuse for them to leave me behind an to get on with their lives.

That made their sad faces even sadder and Tara gave me a tender hug first, then Ann gave me one as well.

“I'll always remember you, no matter what happens.” Tara said with adoration in her eyes.

“How could we ever forget you? You're our cute little Ron.” Ann added and gave me another quick hug.

Their comments touched my heart and I thanked them sincerely, making them both blush.

“I will never forget about you, either.” I said and kissed Tara's cheek. “You for bucking the social norm to sneak me in, despite how much your friends didn't want you to.” I turned my head and kissed Ann's cheek. “You were more of a mom to me than my own mother and you practically raised me.”

Their red faces had started to fade and came right back after hearing that. Kim also looked extremely jealous and her thoughts were focused on her being the one I should be saying that to, then she clamped her mouth shut to stop her gasp at that really weird thought.

“You both have a special place in my heart, and always will, and nothing will ever knock you out of there. You'll always be a part of me for as long as I live.” I promised them and felt another spike of jealousy from Kim. The thing is, she really should be hearing that from me and it was only her own stubbornness that was stopping it from happening.

Ann pulled me into another hug and held it. “That was definitely a pick-up line.” She whispered in my ear. “It was also a very good one, Ron.” She breathed and kissed my cheek for two seconds, gave me a very sexy look, then she let me go and went back to her seat and kissed her husband passionately.

“GAH! Get a room!” Kim gasped and covered her eyes to distract herself. She did not want to see Tara doing something similar with Ron, even if it did kind of turn her on.

Her little brothers Jim and Tim laughed and started teasing her about it. They had seen her do a lot more than kiss the guys she dated and they called her out on her hypocrisy, making themselves laugh even more as she blushed from embarrassment. She did not need that thrown in her face right then. Not at all.

Tara pulled me into a hug and said the same thing as Ann did, kissed my cheek as well, then she promised to give me a special treat later. I hugged her and whispered back that just having her in my life was the best treat I could ever have. She looked both embarrassed that it was the truth and pleased I thought of her that way, because she knew I appreciated her efforts to be the best girlfriend I ever had.

We landed at the airport on the private airstrip and split up into two town cars, with the Possible family going to their home at their new address and myself and Tara going to hers. Me saying there was only temporary, until the mansion sale down the road was completed.

Unlike a normal property, there was a lot more involved with a high ticket item like that, especially with the negotiations for including the furniture and amenities already there, because moving into an empty mansion would be too depressing. Changing it once there would be a lot easier than trying to fill the place from scratch.

Tara's mom greeted us like she hadn't seen us in a year and we were hugged so much that she almost squeezed the stuffing out of us. When I commented about that, both Tara and her mother laughed, then they both hugged me like that again. It was kind of a tradition that if they didn't see each other for more than a day, they had to make up for the lost affection.

I crushed the spike of envy I felt and Tara noticed, then she gave me a warm and tender kiss before she apologized for her mom being so loving. I sighed and let her go, then turned and gave her mom a hug and a kiss on the cheek before I apologized for the same thing. I had no right to be envious and it wasn't her fault or Tara's how things had turned out with my own parents.

Tara's mom gave her daughter a questioning look and the girl shrugged, so she leaned in and gave me a nearly identical warm and tender kiss that Tara had. “You are a cute and adorkable young man, Ron Stoppable. If I wasn't married, I would be trying to steal you away from my very lucky daughter.”

My mouth dropped open at her admitting that out loud and both she and Tara giggled.

“I hope you don't mind seeing scantily clad beautiful girls walking around constantly, because this is my home and I'm not changing my behavior just because my daughter's boyfriend happens to be staying in our guest room until his mansion is ready.”

Tara pushed my mouth closed. “Don't worry, mom. He can appreciate a good view without taking it as a given that he can take advantage.”

Tara's mom beamed a smile at her and then at me. “Excellent.” She said and waved to the stairs. “Tara can show you where you're staying.”

I nodded and picked up all four suitcases, one was mine and three were Tara's. I opened my mouth to thank her for letting me stay here and Tara's mom pulled off the light sweater she was wearing. That revealed her melon-sized breasts that were barely contained inside a white and nearly see-through sports bra and her nipples were poking out about half an inch.

“Holy crap!” I exclaimed and sprang right up.

Both Tara and her mom looked down at my erection and giggled. Her slacks were pulled off next to reveal white bicycle shorts and her thong could be easily seen through the nearly translucent fabric.

“I'm going back to my workout.” Tara's mom said and walked away, her ass swaying like a rubber tree in a strong wind. “Supper is served at 6. Don't be late.”

“We won't.” Tara said and took my arm to lead me up he stairs.

“I was wondering where you got it from.” I commented.

Tara beamed a smile at me. “My mom is awesome, isn't she? I've always wanted to be like her.”

“A super sexy hottie that can reduce any sane man into putty in her hands with barely any effort?” I asked.

Tara laughed and opened the door to my room. “Yes, exactly! I knew you'd understand.”

I chuckled and tossed my suitcase inside and she closed the door. We went to her room next and I helped her unpack for about twenty minutes, then we stripped off our clothes and Tara helped me unload what her mom had given to me. So, good times all around.

Supper that night wasn't awkward at all. It was almost funny, actually. Her parents honestly didn't mind having her boyfriend living there, even though they knew she was having sex with me. Mind you, we were told to keep it respectable and out of their sight. The best part? Both Tara and her mother were on contraceptives and there would never be any unwanted pregnancies.

I could have bypassed them and didn't. Why would I? Tara loved having unrestricted sex, anywhere she wanted, and fully she gave herself over to the act with the full blessing of her parents. She definitely had a great home life and her parents loved her enough to give her restrictions and also freedom, which was the best of both worlds.

School the next day started like normal, except I was driving Tara on the motorcycle to school and Kim was being dropped off by her dad. I'll give you two guesses about which girl was unhappy about that and the first one doesn't count. Kim did tell him thank you, though, so she wasn't ignoring his effort like she usually did with mine. Yay, progress!

Tara giggled at the look on my face and she stopped me from packing my leather jacket in the seat with the helmets. She patted her arm and then mine, implying she wanted us to stay matching, and I nodded. I locked the motorcycle and took her hand to walk over to the popular kids.

I almost laughed when the jocks didn't recognize me and treated me like the others. They only caught on to who I was when the bell rang and Bonnie said Tara was allowed to sit near me in class. Bonnie was wearing the emerald earrings Hope wore during the fashion show and the corkscrew hem skirt from her own outfit that day. She rocked the look, too.

I whispered that to Tara, whom passed it on, and Bonnie looked quite happy about it. We went to the lockers and then to classes all morning to learn how much we had missed the last few days. Bonnie offered to help Tara catch up after cheer practice and she happily accepted before she looked at me.

“I've got stuff to do, too. Don't worry about me.” I said and she kissed my cheek.

Bonnie nodded to me and we all went to lunch at the popular table. I stayed quiet as I ate and only spoke when spoken to, none of which was harsh or condescending from the other popular kids. I counted that as a win and we went to afternoon classes and then cheer practice.

There was a lot of schoolwork to catch up on and Tara was a little worried about it, so I suggested having a sleepover was a good idea and neither she nor Bonnie had to worry about going home too late. That earned me a kiss on the lips and Tara asked Bonnie where she'd like to sleep, at her place or Tara's.

Bonnie picked her place, for two reasons. Her older sisters named Connie and Lonnie. Any time away from them was a good time, in Bonnie's honest opinion. With her staying over, it meant I didn't have to be back to Tara's place until I needed to sleep, so I had the rest of the day, the early evening, and late evening all to myself.

I drove to a secluded spot and took out a transfer truck and loaded the back with another hundred cases of cell phones for sale and a thousand crates of my denim jeans. They were both selling like gangbusters at Smart Mart and my business account was blowing up with all the deposits going into it. I dropped that off at the popular store and then went to the mall and made the next fashion delivery to Club Banana. I was making a ton of money from them as well, thanks to all the different things they were selling for me with Elsa Cleeg's endorsement. She was making bank off of it too, because the local chain store distributed to their other branches in other cities.

Once the whole thing started, it was like a voracious machine that churned out money for things I could create with my powers. It was great! Tara hadn't seen the money going into her account, either. She was going to be quite surprised when she received her account statement at the end of the month, that's for sure. I'd have to be ready to catch her if she fainted.

I stored the transfer truck once I was out of sight again and took out my motorcycle. A nice leisurely drive wouldn't be too bad, considering how busy I had been lately. So, I hopped on and took a long slow drive around the town, just to look at the various places and businesses that where there.

It wasn't until I passed the local theatre that I remembered someone that I had a crush on. I tutned around and parked the motorcycle out of sight, stored it and my helmet, and walked bac around the building and over to the ticket booth.

There she was, Zita Flores, the Latin-American hottie that just graduated. She had shoulder length black hair and breasts that were just as perky and not needing a bra as Kim Possible's. I had been a huge idiot and had let her go, drifting apart since the last time I had seen her, way back when we fought against a nerd that wanted to rule the digital world where the computer game he loved was played.

“Oh, my god!” Zita gasped and hopped out of the little booth and ran over to hug me. “Ron! It's so nice to see you!”

I put my arms around her, rested my head against hers, and let out a soft sigh.

Zita softly laughed. “I guess you missed me, too.” She said and leaned back to look at my face. “It seemed a little sad, though. Why are you...” She paused and tilted her head slightly. “...you have a girlfriend, don't you?”

“I do.” I said and let her go.

Zita took the hint and let me go, too. “Well, at least we can avoid the whole awkward conversation about us getting back together after not speaking for so long.”

I sighed with resignation. “I'm sorry things have been so busy that I haven't even gone to the movies in so long or even drove by to see you when you were working.”

“It's okay, Ron. People can drift apart and there doesn't have to be a reason.” Zita said and waved for me to follow her. We entered her little booth and she sat down on the little chair there and I leaned against the wall and out of sight. “Are you surprised I'm still working here?”

“Actually, yes. I know you said there weren't many jobs around at the time...” I started to say.

“After graduation, with my sterling resume consisting of a high school education and being a ticket booth operator for several years, there are not many companies that want to take a chance on hiring me for anything else.” Zita informed me.

I frowned. “Why would that matter? You're a good worker and haven't missed a shift, stole from the till, or done anything like telling your boss off or cursing at your coworkers for being idiots.”

Ztia laughed and reached out to pat my chest. “You're so sweet for defending me like that.” She said and let her hand drop. “I think you have too high of an opinion of me, Mr. Stoppable.”

I fake gasped. “Wait, you're not the nice wholesome girl I had a huge crush on?”

Zita laughed again and we heard footsteps approaching. She stopped laughing and turned to look out through the booth's window as a guy and a girl approached.

“Two for Hearts Afire.” The guy said and took out his wallet. The girl on his arm was smiling as he paid for the two tickets and they went inside.

“Wow, they completely ignored you.” I said, surprised that anyone would treat a girl like Zita like that, then remembered my own treatment of her.

“I'm the ticket booth girl.” Zita shrugged. “I'm treated like that all the time.”

I held in my sigh at that and waited for her to turn and face me before I spoke. “Not anymore.” I said and her eyes widened. “How long does it take for a worker to quit around here?”

Zita looked surprised for several seconds before she blinked her eyes at me. “Um, I think... I can give my two week notice?”

“Good. That's plenty of time for my mansion purchase to go through.” I said and her mouth dropped open. “I need a secretary to handle everything, because I'm building up my own spy and rescue crew that I'll be training personally next month. If you want in, you're in.”

Zita stared at me with her mouth open for nearly a full minute before she turned back to face the booth's window and handled a crowd of six people that just showed up. She was efficient and not one of the people tried to talk to her, even as they joked about her working there and seeing all the movies before everyone else. She didn't, they just assumed she did.

Zita turned back to face me and smiled. “I'm in.”
